I've recently started following a blogger that challenges herself once a month to capture the beauty in the mundane moments of a day. She takes a photo about every hour during the day and posts them all on her blog. I decided that this would be a good challenge for me. As a stay-at-home mom, it's easy to live day to day and not stop to see the beauty in the small moments and the mundane tasks and chores. I'm hoping to change that.
So, I've started a personal challenge called "12 on 12". On the 12th day of every month, I'll take 12 photos (about every hour) to document the day. I think I'm going to really like this challenge and it will encourage me to get my camera out and shoot on a more regular basis. If you're a blogger and think this sounds fun, you should join me! Even if it's 12 photos taken with your camera phone, I think it's fun to see the small moments that make up a day. I hope some of you join me next month on May 12th!
Here are my 12 photos from yesterday, April 12th:
coffee on the balcony
bubbles and bottles
antique shopping finds (I've got plans for these beauties...)
